The Ichthyosporea (or DRIP clade, or Mesomycetozoea) is a group of microscopic organisms within the Opisthokont group. They are mostly parasites of fish and other animals.
Terminology
[change | change source]The original name, ichthyosporea, described the first discovered species in the group (such as Sphaeroforma arctica). They were all parasites of fish.
