Yanshan University

[edit]

With respect to Zheng Zhiying but the essence of notable alumni is that they have to be notable. Notable is in such cases defined as having their own article on the English language Wikipedia. So you have to write an article about Zheng Zhiying before he can be listed as notable alumnus. The Banner talk 16:00, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any Wikipedia policy support the argument?
Multiple independent sources can be combined to demonstrate notability and the person has received a well-known and significant award or honor. Benjamin Ceci (talk) 16:12, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That might be true but the essence is that that person needs their own article. See WP:ALUMNI. And beside that, it is common practise. The Banner talk 16:31, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand, I will make further edits base on WP:ALUMNI & common practise. Benjamin Ceci (talk) 13:17, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Benjamin Ceci. If you're going to convert files like File:Bank of Qingdao Logo.png from a non-free license to "PD-ineligible-USonly", please also replace the file's non-free use rationale with Template:Information so that the file doesn't get mistakenly flagged for any non-free content policy violations and removed by bots. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:29, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
