Merry Christmas!

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. Feel free to take a "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" if you prefer.  :) BOZ (talk) 18:09, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Undisclosed paid editing

[edit]

Hello @Bilby! I noticed you tagged one of the articles that I created (Fabio Dias) as an undisclosed paid article... I can categorically say that I did not receive any payment for creating that article, so can you please guide me towards finding out what is required from me to get that tag removed? It's interesting to note that on the exact same day that I created the allegedly paid article I also created another article (Bonnie Buchanan) for which I also did not receive any payment, but that article was not tagged as paid? I assume you have a COI in regard to Fabio Dias, but as you had also created it in the past I assumed that you were not paid. However, I am aware that at least one undisclosed paid editor has been hired to edit the article as part of recreating it after it was deleted. - Bilby (talk) 04:31, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks for letting me know @Bilby but I am not aware of that paid editor and it’s not my fault anyway. I can clean up the article and remove the edits from that paid editor if you let me know which parts of the text were paid editing? I don’t have any personal COI with that page. I have a disclosed institutional COI, but that does not violate any Wikipedia policies. And I did a very thorough research about all available sources for the recreation of the article to confirm that all notability guidelines were adhered. So I believe it is unfair to leave a permanent red tag on that article, I can just clean it up. Contributor892z (talk) 04:56, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would rather someone independent removed the tag. While you state that your COI is not personal, you do have a COI, and there are timing issues which mean that I would rather take this carefully. The tag is not permanent. - Bilby (talk) 05:19, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
