Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello CrypticalFiery, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Little Charmers has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Majority of text copied word-for-word from sources provided: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/01/07/new-animated-preschool-series-little-charmers-to-premiere-monday-january-12-on-nickelodeon/347389/ and www.marketwatch.com/(S(cjdiwbyhi3bgtq45fqcdob45))/story/little-charmers-turns-on-the-charm-on-nickelodeon-monday-jan-12-at-12-pm-etpt-2015-01-07 This must be in your own words. Bang Bang (TV channel)
[edit]I noticed you made some changes on this page. BabyTV on the sister channels part is not supposed to be included because it is not an Albanian channel. Cufo, Junior and Disney Channel, the three of them are Albanian-language channels owned by Digitalb, while BabyTV is a foreign channel owned by Fox. Also the running order of these channels is not supposed to be in alphabetical order, but the way they are listed on Digitalb. Bang Bang is nr. 4, Cufo nr. 5, Junior nr. 6 and Disney Channel nr. 17 As for the picture format, it's 16:9 not 4:3. All Digitalb channels are in 16:9 picture format, which can also be noticed on the movies/series that they give, which are widescreen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whoamiwilli (talk • contribs) 19:39, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- BabyTV can be seen on the remote here as the butterfly. Whether it's in Albanian on the channel or not shouldn't matter, as it should be counted as a sister channel because of this fact.
- I still find it hard to believe that Bang Bang and Cufo are 16:9, not because of the content they air, but because of this comparison screenshot that I'll give for an example, here. Point being that the logo is squished. The content they air shouldn't matter, but what the channel actually is. And sometimes, there's 16:9 content that airs with black bars, proving it is 4:3. CrypticalFiery (talk) 04:20, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
Except for Baby TV, there are also Nickelodeon HD, Boomerang and Duck TV on the channel's list who are non-Albanian channels for kids, but fine, if you wanna keep it no problem, just change the alphabetical order please, because there isn't any channel on wikipedia who orders them alphabetically, instead they're ordered from the most related channel to the least one, samples: Discovery Family, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon. In this case it should be: Çufo, Junior TV, Disney Channel, BabyTV.
I actually have proof about the aspect ratio. They didn't change the logos when the channels became widescreen they just stretched them for some reason, but new logos who were made after the channels became widescreen (the christmas logos) are actually 16:9 and prove this. Examples Bang Bang and Cufo. The 16:9 black bars programs that you said are done before the channels went widescreen. I also have proof from my own TV where I have Digitalb. When you change the aspect ratio, for 16:9 channels the screen gets wider, while for 4:3 channels, it goes narrow from the sides. And Bang Bang, Cufo, Junior including other Digitalb channels are all 16:9, that's why I said this in the first place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whoamiwilli (talk • contribs) 18:58, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- Ah. So I see. I suppose you have a point about the channel being 16:9. Thank you for the evidence! I'll add it, and the order of the channels, back.
- As for the BabyTV, I hope you know it was only because it was on the remote, which is why I said it should count. CrypticalFiery (talk) 19:14, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. I also did some translation edits. Te luajme shkollash literally means "Let's play/pretending like we're in school" or something like that, but your translation I guess it's more logical, so I didn't change it. Also Sailor Moon old series (Luftëtarja e Hënës) aired multiple times in the past, you might want to add it. Proof. As for the AA/Jess thing I see you needed citation so I'm explaining. AA Film Company is a major film company in Albania. It produces movies, TV shows, songs, dubs etc. Jess Discographic is the name of the voice recording section only (includes dubbing and song recording). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovW7HzedKPM go to 0:14. That's the only proof for now. And for Art instinkt, if you go down to the credits at 58:02 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIkHMEFhZT8), it says the date as November 2014, that's where I got it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whoamiwilli (talk • contribs) 19:40, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Doki (TV series) image
[edit]Hi there, I noticed you recently changed the Infobox image at Doki (TV series). It appears that another user has strongly objected to the change[1][2], but has not provided any reason. If you have specific opinions for why you think the image you submitted is better, I hope you might consider expressing them on the article's talk page. I think it's important for the other user to participate in discussion rather than revert and leave imposing notes asserting ownership of the article. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:25, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
- I just think my picture (which is a clear logo uploaded by an official source), is a bit better than a title card (which, as seen in one of my edits, would fit well maybe in the character section). But if that person wants the title card, this is fine. CrypticalFiery (talk) 16:44, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

Request for revision to show name, logo, and character names for Polly and the Zhu Zhu Pets Page
[edit]The name of the show, logo and main character have changed. May an editor please make these revisions? The show is now called TheZhuZhus, the main character's name is Frankie and there is a new logo. Citation: official show website [1] and Nelvana website [2] (in the rotator) and brand official website [3]
Disclosure: I am an employee of Nelvana. 64.141.106.4 (talk) 16:19, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
- No. First, please show me proof you are an employee of Nelvana. Second, I do not believe the main character's name is now Frankie, or that the show made a permanent name change. As the page already says, The ZhuZhus is an alternate title. CrypticalFiery (talk) 20:32, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- As for by employment this is my business card: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx1AqWBm8kk0Rkd4NV9HOVFrdnV3T21XdFVFSzhaX1JScU40 64.141.106.4 (talk) 16:19, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
- So it seemed that you were right, sorry for doubting you, but I will not take further action until early January as the Facebook account told me. CrypticalFiery (talk) 21:36, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Growing Around Party Panic front cover.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Growing Around Party Panic front cover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The Nutshack
[edit]Hi, it seems that you do not know what you are talking about. Please be reminded that there is no place for opinion and personal point of view here in Wikipedia. Now let's go to the facts. First of all ABS-CBN International, the production company credited for the program, is an American entity. Second, the program is made in the United States. Third, the program is created for the American audience (it does not matter if there niche market is Asian-American, the important thing is that they are living in the United States). Fourth, the program is created/produced by Filipino-Americans (some of them are not even Filipinos). So if you do not have a reliable proof (citations) for your claim please do not revert my revision because doing so may be considered disruptive editing. Thank you. Hollyckuhno (talk) 01:10, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- I also want to add that Wikipedia has standards for writing specific type of terms. Songs should not be italicized. The sub-article Merchandise is inappropriate and should be changed to Home video. Hollyckuhno (talk) 01:10, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- If you can please give a source for ABS-CBN International being American, this is the only point I'll take. Doesn't matter which audience the show was made for, or where it was made, but the production companies that produced it. Sorry if I'm wrong about ABS-CBN being Filipino and not American, but I've always known ABS-CBN to be Filipino and see no easy proof that the company itself is American (as I cannot find any source for the company with the International name). And the show would have to be a co-production for it to be American–Filipino, no matter who's working on it. CrypticalFiery (talk) 01:29, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- You are right about ABS-CBN Corporation being a Filipino entity. But ABS-CBN International, Inc. (the owner of Myx TV, The Filipino Channel, San Francisco International Gateway) is the American (offshore/foreign) subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation incorporated, operating, and based in the United States, and using American monetary for its corporate transactions. It was incorporated in 1994 and you can verify that here SEC FORM 17-A 2015. I also want to comment that it does matter where a program is created and first published/released. Hollyckuhno (talk) 05:13, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Understood – but could we discuss that last point? Just because (this is an example) The Bagel and Becky Show was released first in Poland doesn't mean the show itself is Polish, or because the creator is American doesn't mean it's American, it's Canadian/British because the production companies come from Canada and United Kingdom. Just because there's Canadian VA's in PJ Masks, doesn't make the show Canadian, but because of its production companies, it's British/French. From my experiences here (and even on IMDb), this is how show's nationalities are being chosen. Please correct me if I'm wrong. CrypticalFiery (talk) 08:45, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, I guess it is the best way to tell the nationality of a production specially in today's world where globalization and multinational companies are commonplace. Hollyckuhno (talk) 09:31, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Then in that case I guess we can come to an agreement. Sorry for jumping to conclusions, as I couldn't find any info on ABS's International company. CrypticalFiery (talk) 09:32, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

The file File:Mighty Magiswords logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Equivalent media exists at Commons, this is a simple text logo. Not F8 owing to conflict of licenses.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:59, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm SummerPhDv2.0. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The ZhuZhus, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please see WP:KIDSTVDATES. - Explained myself via edit summary. CrypticalFiery (talk) 18:07, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for that.[3] Please return to the article and add a citation giving that source (it does little good in the edit summary which most readers will not see). I would add the cite myself but, as I am unable to read the language, I cannot verify what it says. - SummerPhDv2.0 20:21, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at The ZhuZhus, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. SummerPhDv2.0 04:15, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
- I have added a source (heck, several before that) ._. Unless you mean the one I added recently about when ep 18 was gonna air, in that case sorry bout that but I didn't want to add a source that won't be relevant after August. CrypticalFiery (talk) 05:23, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Littlest Pet Shop: Unleashed until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Littlest Pet Shop (2018 TV series) logo.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Littlest Pet Shop (2018 TV series) logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
SummerPhDv2.0 02:06, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:26, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mickey and the Roadster Racers logo.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Mickey and the Roadster Racers logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:YooHoo to the Rescue logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:48, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
The two last episodes of Care Bears: Unlock the Magic
[edit]I was casually scrolling through the French Wikipedia today, and I have appeared to have found two episodes that haven't aired yet in English, but have aired in French (on Tiji). I'm not planning on adding them right now in because their English names haven't been shown, yet. Luigitehplumber (talk) 23:11, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
I was actually planning on discussing that on the talk page. I am so unsure what those two episodes could be, I had thought there were only 50 episodes in the season but it would be weird if Tiny Pop didn't air those two. Yet the plot summaries don't match anything we've seen, so I suppose they are two unaired (in the UK) episodes. CrypticalFiery (talk) 13:03, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- I'll wait and see for what Tiny Pop has to offer, because I live in the UK and I'm a huge fan of this show. Luigitehplumber (talk) 13:12, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Filly Funtasia cast.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Filly Funtasia cast.jpg.
Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 101 Dalmatian Street; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. The Grand Delusion(Send a message) 01:49, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

Good to meet you, virtually!
[edit]I know there has been sparring on the Cleopatra of Space page about the number of episodes (and you mentioning it on Twitter after I did so), I understand that, and I understand your position, so I'll wait until the show has premiered on Peacock on July 15 (or hopefully sooner). Anyway, I appreciate the edits you made to the page and think that this sparring should be put behind us. Onward to further and productive Wikipedia editing without argument!--Historyday01 (talk) 22:47, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
